I'm Walking for Someone I Love—And I Need Your Help
This year, the Susan G. Komen 3-Day walk feels different. More urgent. More personal.
A dear friend of mine was recently diagnosed with breast cancer—and when I heard the news, I felt that familiar mix of fear, helplessness, and determination. I knew I couldn’t just stand by. So I laced up my shoes, joined Team Jill and Ron, and committed to walking 60 miles over 3 days to raise funds for research, support, and ultimately—a cure.
I’ve participated in Komen events before, but this one is for her. For the strength she shows every day. For the hope we all hold onto. And for the countless others still fighting, surviving, or lost far too soon.
I’ve set a personal goal to raise $3,000 by June, and I’m reaching out to the people who’ve stood beside me in all the meaningful moments of life—my family, friends, and coworkers.
If you can give—even a small amount—it will make a huge difference. Every dollar supports lifesaving breast cancer research, community outreach, and patient services through the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
And beyond giving, there’s something else I hope you’ll do:
Please take a moment today to schedule your mammogram—or remind someone you love to schedule theirs. Self-exams and regular screenings save lives. Awareness and early detection are just as powerful as any donation.
Here’s how you can support my walk:

Even if you’re not able to contribute right now, sharing my fundraising page or sending a word of encouragement means more than you know.
I’ll be walking every mile in honor of my friend—and in hope of a future where no one has to face this disease. Thank you for being a part of that hope.
With love and gratitude,
Janice Primus
