This August, I’ll be participating in the Susan G. Komen 3-Day Walk here in Denver—a 60-mile journey over 3 days—to raise funds and awareness in the fight against breast cancer.

Just over two years ago, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. Thanks to an amazing medical team and the love and support of family and friends, I was declared cancer-free by the end of summer 2023—just before I made the move to Denver.

When one of my dearest college friends invited me to join her team for this year’s Walk, I knew I had to say yes. It’s my next challenge, but one I’m proud to take on—because no walk, no matter how long or difficult, compares to the fight against breast cancer.

I’m walking for myself. For survivors. For those still fighting. And for a future without breast cancer.
