This year, I’ve decided to join in with the efforts of so many before me to support Susan G. Komen®, the world’s largest breast cancer organization that exists, providing real-time help to those facing breast cancer today.

I am joined by a team of women here in Denver, who are walking 60 miles over the course of 3-days in early August to raise awareness and funding for breast cancer research.

This year, I am walking in honor of my Granny, Great Aunt, and my mom’s best friend whose lives have all been impacted by breast cancer ––and in addition, in honor of the lives of those surrounding who have been directly impacted. There are countless stories of women who have faced this disease head on, with grit, determination, strength and grace. These stories are absolutely worth honoring.

The proceeds raised by the Komen 3-Day go directly toward breakthrough research in addition to providing access to screening, treatment assistance, patient navigation and education.

This is something I believe is worthwhile, and I’d love for you to join me in the form of a financial contribution if you’re able to support the work and the walk. My goal is to raise $2,300 by June 19th. I would feel honored to walk with your support!

I will be thinking of those I’m walking in honor of, along with those impacted as well as those of you who choose to support this mission during every mile of the walk. I have heard the countless ways this mission has impacted so many lives and am excited to have the chance to join in this year.
