This August my sisters, brother and I will be walking 60 miles in the Susan G. Komen 3-Day Walk in Denver. A week later I will fly into Boston and walk another 60 miles in the New England 3-Day.  

As a fifteen year survivor of breast cancer, the Komen Foundation’s mission is close to my heart. They fund cutting-edge research aimed at discovering more effective treatments, ensure that individuals across various communities have access to necessary care, and provide crucial financial assistance to many patients. 

Last year, around 3,900 walkers and 970 support crew raised $13.2 million walking in four cities across the US. With recent cuts to cancer research funding and critical, life-saving trials, the work of the Komen Foundation is more urgent than ever!
