In January, I’ll be turning 60 years old — and to honor this milestone, I’ve committed to walking 60 miles, one for each year of my life, in the Avon 3-Day Walk. But this journey is about so much more than just a number.
I’m walking to honor the three most important women in my life who lost their courageous battles with cancer:
My mom, Shari. My sister, Ami. My best friend, Audrey.
Each day of this walk — 20 miles a day — is dedicated to one of them. Their love, strength, and spirit continue to walk with me every step of the way.
I’ll be walking alongside my dear friend, Elizabeth Sigale, in Denver, August 1st-3rd, and together we are stepping forward with purpose, strength, and hope.
This walk is my tribute to their memory and my commitment to the fight against cancer — so that fewer families have to say goodbye to soon.
