I'm BACK!!
After a 3-year hiatus, I have once again signed up to participate in the 3-Day, this time in Denver in August 2025.
I first participated in the 3-Day nearly 15 years ago, in memory of Carla Taft. In the years since I first started participating, my family has experienced firsthand the pain and loss that breast cancer can bring. My sister Jennifer was diagnosed with breast cancer in late 2011 and passed in 2017 at the age of only 46.
I participate in memory of my sister; for the love that the 3-Day family has shown me and each other; and in the hope that with the money raised through these events, fewer families will have stories like mine.
Please support me as I commit to an incredible challenge. The Susan G. Komen 3-Day is a 60-mile walk over the course of three days. It will be hard, but it's not as hard as breast cancer. It's not as hard as doctor's appointments, chemo, radiation, surgery. It's not as hard as saying goodbye. So I will take on this challenge in the hope that together we can help end breast cancer - forever.
