This is a milestone year for me. I am a 20 year breast cancer survivor!
I am, once again, taking on the incredible challenge of walking 20 miles per day for three days - a 60-mile journey, to raise awareness and funds to end breast cancer. Every step and every dollar matters. We walk because we can’t sit on the sidelines watching while breast cancer steals the lives and futures of our friends and family members.
Since 2003, Komen has raised more than $915 million to save lives, support community programs, increase access to care and make strides in breast cancer research, therapies and treatments. But we have more work to do!
Please support me in my fundraising efforts. Many companies have matching gift programs so please ask your employer if they will double your donation with a matching gift. To make a donation, simply click on my URL link. This is the fastest and safest method and you will receive a receipt for your records as well.
It will be hard, but it's not as hard as breast cancer. It's not as hard as chemo or radiation or surgery. It's not as hard as getting bad news at your latest scan. It's not as hard as saying goodbye. And that is why I know I must continue doing this. That’s why I’m walking and why I’m raising money – to end breast cancer forever.
Your support is greatly appreciated.
