This year I am celebrating TWENTY FIVE YEARS cancer free by participating in not one, but two, Breast Cancer 3 Day walks - but I can't do it without you!
In November 1999 I heard the dreaded words "You have cancer," quickly followed by "with a 24% chance of survival." Obviously I survived but that experience lit a fire in me to make a difference to those that are currently hearing those words and the people that love them. And YOU are part of that.
Because of YOU from 1989 to 2022 (most recent data available) the breast cancer mortality rate in U.S. women decreased by 44% due to improved breast cancer treatment and early detection. Because of YOU since 1989, about 517,900 breast cancer deaths in U.S. women have been avoided.
Because of YOU and your generous support we really are making progress in the fight against breast cancer.
And if you'd like to join me in Denver or San Diego next year as part of an amazing pink bubble community drop me a note. I'd be proud to walk next to you.
