I’m walking in the Susan G. Komen 1-Day Walk to honor my beloved sister, who we lost to metastatic breast cancer this past November after her brave four-year fight. I miss her every single day, and this walk is one small way I can carry her with me and keep her memory close.

I’m also walking for my friends who have faced breast cancer and for those who are still fighting. This disease is hard, heartbreaking, and far too common — and that’s why I feel called to take part and help raise funds to end it.
