My Why,
In 2005 I lost my mother to cancer.... Breast cancer was the catalyst for her death. Five years after her death, I made the decision to participate in the Susan G. Komen 3-Day as a tribute to her. I then completed the walk 3 more times before my, at the time, 16-year-old daughter asked me to walk with her. What a privilege to share this with my teenage daughter. We laced up our shoes and took the journey together to walk 60 miles in 3 days. This year will be the 7th time that I am taking this journey to celebrate my mom who I lost to cancer, my wife who had her own scare but ended in a positive outcome, and my daughter who I hope lives in a world that will know cures for this disease. This is something I can do ....... join me, won't you? Your donation to our walk will make a difference.
Please support me as I commit to an incredible challenge. The Susan G. Komen 3-Day is a 60-mile walk over the course of three days. It will be hard, but it’s not as hard as breast cancer. It’s not as hard as chemo. It’s not as hard as getting bad news at your latest scan. It’s not as hard as saying goodbye. And that’s why I know I have to do this. That’s why I’m walking and why I’m raising money – to end breast cancer forever.
