During the weekend of October 24-26, I’ll be walking in the Susan G. Komen 3-Day in Dallas, Texas. It’s a 60 mile journey, over 3 days, with my teammates and hundreds of others. It will likely be hard, but it’s not as hard as breast cancer. It’s not as hard as chemo. It’s not as hard as saying goodbye. And that’s why I'm doing this – to end breast cancer forever.

I’m walking for so many who have and will fight breast cancer: wives, partners, mothers, sisters, daughters, aunts, cousins, friends, coworkers and too many others.

When preparing for the walk I think of the sign held by a young woman along the route on the last day of my first 3-Day walk. It said, “People like you saved my life.” That sign was not just for the walkers, it was for all who contribute to the fight against breast cancer.
