Hello there,
Yes, I know I'm crazy, but I'm walking again! I can't help it; there is still no cure for breast cancer. This will be my 20th walk that I have done since 2002. I am very proud of the money I have raised for these 3-Day walks, but I can't stop. More than 290,000 in the United States will be diagnosed with breast cancer this year. More than 43,000 will not survive. One in eight women in the U.S. will be diagnosed with cancer in their life time. Your donation can help find a cure. Your donation could help a loved one survive.
I have committed to walk 60 miles in three days to support the fight against breast cancer. I am so sick of cancer. I can't stand the thought of hearing that another friend or relative have cancer. As I train and walk each year I pray that all those we know and love never hear those horrible words "you have cancer." If we find a cure to breast cancer, the others cannot be far behind. This walk is for my children, my grandchildren, cousins and friends. Because I love you all, I have chosen to do my part once again.
As I just celebrated my 80th birthday, I realize this walk will be very challenging for me this year, but my passion in doing this is still telling me in my heart, you go girl and do your best. I have set a goal of raising $3500 this year and will be walking 60 miles in Dallas/Fort Worth in October. Please donate if you can, and if you can't, keep me in your thoughts and prayers. Please take this opportunity to support me and advocate for the health of women and men that are important to you and have touched your life. I'll be thinking of you every step of the way as I train and walk in October with my team Michigan Bosom Buddies.
Thanks again for your support this year. I have no words to express my gratitude.
Dee
