Cancer seems to touch everyone in some way these days, it’s everywhere. Sometimes it’s touching the person in the mirror.
I’m one of the few lucky ones that has a huge support group, and a positive outcome waiting after this difficult fight.
What I am learning is the Breast Cancer Community is vast. No one fights alone, and no one heals alone. It’s inspired me to give back, so that others can fight like me! What’s needed is more funds for research, development, and medical advancements.
I have committed to a 60 mile walk over the course of three days this November in San Diego. It will be hard! Not as hard as hearing the diagnosis, or telling my children, or chemo, or surgery, or radiation.
This is part of my recovery, my closure. Joining me will be 3 of my very close friends (and maybe a few more). We will make memories, laugh, cry and walk with thousands of other survivors and supporters of this cause.
For me, every mile we walk will be a symbolic mile of putting Breast Cancer further in my rear view while helping others do the same! Thats why I'm walking and why I'm raising money - to end breast cancer forever!
No donation is too small and I thank you all for your support.
