I'm back again, fundraising for my 7th 3 day 60 mile walk. Every year when I write my fundraising letter, I reminisce about my previous years and memories of doing this walk. There are many emotions that come with these memories to include sadness for the many that have been lost to cancer, joy for those who have fought and won as well as for the extraordinary people that have been met on this walk, and a feeling of hope for a future without cancer and for those who are fighting.
I have lost my dad and sister to cancer within the past 3 years and thankfully my father - in - law beat cancer. I am inspired by all 3 of their valiant fights against this horrible disease but I miss my loved ones. Cancer has no limits. It affects young, old, moms, dad, sons, daughters, siblings and friends. Please help me in fighting this horrible disease. I have hope for a world without cancer.
I would love to honor my loved ones in this walk but also yours. With a donation of $100, I will dedicate a mile to them with a sign held with their name on it and a picture with the sign will be sent to you.
Please support me as I commit to this incredible challenge. The Susan G. Komen 3-Day is a 60-mile walk over the course of three days. It will be hard, but it’s not as hard as cancer. It’s not as hard as chemo. It’s not as hard as getting bad news at your latest scan. It’s not as hard as saying goodbye. And that’s why I know I have to do this. That’s why I’m walking and why I’m raising money – to end breast cancer forever.
