Please support me as I commit to an incredible challenge. The Susan G. Komen 3-Day is a 60-mile walk over the course of three days. It will be hard, but it’s not as hard as breast cancer. It’s not as hard as chemo. It’s not as hard as getting bad news at your latest scan. It’s not as hard as saying goodbye. And that’s why I know I have to do this. That’s why I’m working and why I’m raising money – to end breast cancer forever.
When I signed up this year I decided to work the San Diego 3-day. This is my 20th year doing this. The first 3 years I walked the 60 miles in the Detroit area. The next 17 years I worked the 3-day with the exception of the COVID year. In 2022 I worked in Chicago. In 2023 I worked in Dallas/Fort Worth and this year will be San Diego.
I do this to honor my Sister, Deborah Sherry Goodwin who died from breast and ovarian cancer. There are many friends of mine who were diagnosed as well as my Aunts and first cousins.
I do this because I don’t ever want my granddaughter to be told she has breast cancer. I want to help end breast cancer forever because I can!!
