Please support me as I commit to an incredible challenge. The Susan G. Komen 3-Day is a 60-mile walk over the course of three days. After losing my 12 year old daughter thirteen years ago to bone cancer, I hoped to never hear the word cancer again. That was until October of 2023 when I learned I had breast cancer. This diagnosed came three years after my younger sister was diagnosed with breast cancer herself. I was both fortunate to have had my cancer diagnosed in the early stages and after undergoing a bilateral mastectomy, reconstruction surgery, and currently on hormone therapy I am both cancer free as well as my sister. I am participating in this walk as a breast cancer survivor as well as in memory of my grandmother and in honor of my mother, younger sister, and all the women out there who have been affected by breast cancer.
This walk will be hard, but it’s not as hard as breast cancer. It’s not as hard as chemo. It’s not as hard as getting bad news at your latest scan. It’s not as hard as saying goodbye. And that’s why I know I have to do this. That’s why I’m walking and why I’m raising money – to end breast cancer forever.
Please support me in reaching my fundraising goal and make a donation today. Every little helps, it all adds up.
Thank You!!
