For years, I have traveled around the country with members of my family, supporting them while they walked and walked AND WALKED, to raise money to fund research, treatment, and support for the all too many that are STILL being affected by Breast Cancer. I generally have acted as Uber driver, medic, Grub Hub, and Valet. During last year's walk in Denver, I committed to walking with my family and they many other friends we've made through the years. I have lost count of the number of friends, family, and co-workers I've known to have faced this disease through the years. Many have survived, thanks to research and treatment improvements, but so many have not. So this year I walk. I hope you'll support me as I take incredible challenge. The Susan G. Komen 3-Day is a 60-mile walk over the course of three days. It will be hard, but it’s not as nearly as hard as breast cancer. It’s not as hard as chemo. It’s not as hard as getting bad news at your latest scan. It’s not as hard as saying goodbye. And that’s why I know I have to do this. That’s why I’m walking and why I’m raising money – because it is way past time to end breast cancer forever.
