It's hard to believe another year has gone by ...and yet we have not found a cure for breast cancer. I hope you will consider supporting me as I head again to Boston, New England to complete the 60 mile walk over 3 days. My training has started. It's slow for sure but, not as hard as breast cancer, it's not as hard as chemo, it's not as hard as getting bad news at your latest scan...it's not as hard as saying goodbye. And that is why I know I MUST continue to do this as long as I can.
I continue to walk to raise awareness and to help find a cure for this horrible disease and will continue to do all I can to help those who have breast cancer.
Last year in Dallas/Ft. Worth we were challenged day one with heat over 100, then downpour rain and thunderstorms, then day 3 temps dropped down into the low 50's. I was determined to complete each day. Your thoughts and prayers for me while on my journey helped me to make it each and every day.
The pic is of me and my new pink sister, Yvette who was walking by herself...like me for the first few days and not with a team...she is just beautiful inside and out. Last year I was also asked to speak at the remembrance ceremony to about 700 new friends. It was humbling and one of the hardest things I have ever done. Some of my long time pink sisters who are dear friends and family got there just in time for me to take the state and on the last day...along with my pink sisters, we crossed the finish line together.
Thank you for any support you might be able to give. MUCH LOVE AND FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART ....I THANK YOU.
