You have been there for me with your donations and support, and I am asking you to donate again because the battle continues. One in eight women in the U.S. will be diagnosed with breast cancer in her lifetime.
There are more than 3.8 million survivors and people living with breast cancer in the U.S. However, improvements in early detection and treatment contributed to a 42 percent decline in the breast cancer death rate in the U.S. between 1989-2019.
I am sure each and every one of you knows someone whose life has been affected by cancer. The best way we can make a difference is to raise awareness – with thousands of Komen 3-Day walkers nationwide bringing attention to this cause - and to provide the monetary support necessary for research, education and treatment.
It's a 60-mile walk over the course of three days that raises funds for breast cancer research and community programs. In 2023, I had an amazing experience participating in this event in San Diego and met so many wonderful friends along the way. This will be my 7th year crewing, and my 17th year participating in this amazing event! In 2024, I will be heading to Boston for the 3-Day for the third time!
Every two minutes, one case of breast cancer is diagnosed in a woman in the U.S.. That is why I am fundraising for the Komen 3-Day.
Komen has a Bold Goal – to reduce the current number of breast cancer deaths by 50% in the U.S. by 2026. That’s why I’m crewing and raising money – to make that goal a reality. I hope that you'll share this incredible adventure with me - by supporting my fundraising efforts.
I am grateful for your continued support!
