As I  prepare for my 24 Th 3 day walk 
I always reflect on the journey . 24 years ago I held my sisters hand as we said a prayer and started our first walk 
  I started these walks for my Granddaughters who are high risk . Never realizing how many people our team would know that fight their battles , having their bodies mutilated and fill will chemo and radiation to have a chance at survival . We never knew how many we know would lose their battle . 
  In the last 24 years so much has been discovered that helps cure some breast cancers , or like my cousin Sharon Murphy who’s cancer is incurable, the infusions she receives keeps her alive . This is because of RESEARCH . Susan G Komen   Is second only to the US government in the amount of money funded to Breast Cancer research.
