Three years ago, I was diagnosed with a highly aggressive form of breast cancer. Fortunately, due to regular mammograms, it was detected early. I underwent chemotherapy and surgery, and I am now three years cancer-free. However, in this short span of time, four of my close friends have also been diagnosed with breast cancer.
I consider myself incredibly fortunate to have overcome this ordeal, and now I feel a strong desire to give back and help others by supporting research for a cure and improved treatments for this devastating disease.
I am particularly proud to have my daughter, Anna, walking alongside me this year. I will be walking in honor of my best friend forever (BFF), Trish who was diagnosed just recently. She was my rock during the challenging times, and I am determined to support her in any way I can.
If you have someone you would like me to walk for, please share their name, and I will proudly wear a button with their name during the walk. We all know someone who has been affected by breast cancer, and together, let's strive to find a cure.
