Year 11 of walking 60 miles in 2024 is on the horizon. Yes, year 11..can you even believe it?! We have come so far. There's been a 43% decline in the breast cancer death rate in the U.S. between 1989 and 2020 due to early education, effective treatments, research and thanks to people like you that have donated! Thank you; although it doesn't seem enough.
Last year was a difficult 60 mile journey and it took months to get back to walking and running without pain for me. We thought about not participating for a brief moment, but cancer is harder than the pain we endured. We decided we can't quit. We are going to show up, fundraise and walk (whether it's 10, 15, 20 or more miles.. I don't know), cheer other walkers on, keep fighting the fight and I'm asking for your help again.
Please consider donating, any amount is helpful and meaningful.
$50 could provide gas for a person in need so they can get to their next chemotherapy appointment.
$200 could provide a mammogram for someone in need.
$400 can support an early career scientist for a day as she/he develops breakthroughs for the most aggressive and deadly cancers
Whatever you can give, I thank you in advance.
Let's do this... because everyone deserves a lifetime!
Love and appreciation,
Heather
