In 2011, I walked because Adelea died from breast cancer at far too young an age, leaving two darling babies, a loving family, and many friends behind.
In 2022, I walked because breast cancer came for me.
In 2023, I walked because uterine cancer prevented my best friend from walking with me in 2022 like she'd planned to do.
In 2024, I'm walking because I'm sick of this sh*t. More and more people around me have been impacted by breast cancer. I've seen too many lose the fight. It would be easier for me to say I've done enough, I've fought my fight, I've raised my money, and I know it's hard, but I'm not into easy.
I welcome anyone else who wants to join me. I must raise $2300 to walk, and I can't do it without your help. I ask, as a survivor, for those living with breast cancer and cancer of all kinds, for those who are not as fortunate as me, and in honor and memory of those who did not win this terrible fight -- please bring the number of horrible goodbyes to an end - please do whatever you can do, contribute whatever you can contribute to help end breast cancer forever
Take your ship out with me into the storm, and let's see where we can get!
