In 2024 I walked with Misha, one of my closest college friends, through her battle with breast cancer. As a single mom of 2 young girls, she needed lots of extra support and I am thankful that I was able to provide some of that. It was a long, hard road and saying goodbye to her in May was one of the hardest things I’ve had to do.
In an effort to turn my grief and pain into something good I was challenged to sign up for the Susan G. Komen 3-Day New England walk in August 2025. This is a 60-mile walk over the course of three days. It will be hard, but it’s not as hard as breast cancer. It’s not as hard as chemo. It’s not as hard as getting bad news at your latest scan. It’s not as hard as saying goodbye. And that’s why I know I have to do this. That’s why I’m walking and why I’m raising money – to end breast cancer forever.
