On July 28, 2023 I received a call I wished I never had to hear: "You have been diagnosed with Invasive Ductal Carcinoma". On September 20, 2023, I underwent surgery, making the aggressive choice for a double mastectomy, in the hopes of being rid of breast cancer for good. Recovery is painful, and I hate, hate, hate dealing with the drains still attached to me. 

But, I remember that my blessings are far greater than my discomfort. My pink-ribbon-sisters will be at my side throughout this journey to participate in a cause greater than ourselves: WE WALK with hope for a cure for breast cancer; WE WALK to support each other in our individual journeys; and WE WALK in remembrance of our dear Alpha Chi Omega sister, Cori, who lost her battle with breast cancer

Please join us as we come together as a team and with the Susan G. Komen 3-Day community take on a bold challenge in the fight to end breast cancer. The Komen 3-Day is a 60-mile walk over the course of three days. It will be hard, but it’s not as hard as breast cancer. We won’t stop until breast cancer does.
