Nearly 6 years ago, a friend Betsy Goldberg Zangara was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. She had three small children, a spouse and a career at the time and stepped up bigtime to fight cancer. She kicked its butt! During the process, their family found a genetic mutation that likely caused her cancer. Finding that mutation gave the family (all friends of mine) the power to reduce the risk of cancer for the rest their family including future generations and inspiring their friends to know what to look for.
This type of understanding and ability to be proactive does not happen without an organization like Susan G. Komen. Your support makes early detection, research and treatment possible.
Their family and friends - me included - are walking 60 miles in 3 days to celebrate her being cancer free for 5 years. Please support me in our fight to end breast cancer by making a donation by clicking the links above.
