As many of you know I started this journey 10 years ago when my Auntie Alice was receiving treatment for stage 4 breast cancer. I started as a platelet donor at City of Hope then hosting blood drives. Nine years ago I began fundraising to do walks with Avon then later Susan G Komen. I was not a walker or runner but walking these long distance walks was nothing compared to what my Aunt and best friend Sue went through during treatment. They both passed away September of 2016, I just wanted to hide and cry. I couldn't understand how or why so then my crazy journey began. I've donated over 125 units of platelets, held many blood drives, fundraised (which is really hard for me) and ran or walked over 300 races many raising money for cancer. So, please join me with a tax deductible donation so together we can get to a day without breast cancer. The thought of losing another loved one is heart breaking. In the last few years I have had too many friends diagnosed. With your continued support I will continue to walk and raise awareness with a promise that I will be donating platelets, hosting blood drives, leading training walks and walking insane miles for a cure.
