In 2023, I have committed to walking in the Denver and San Diego 3-Day for the Cure. This will be my 18th and 19th walk. That's how much I believe in what we are doing.
I have had three aunts who have fought breast cancer. They didn't ask for the disease, no one does, but they still got it. Their normal lives got put on hold while they had surgery, chemo, and radiation; they never quit fighting. Sadly, my Aunt Dolores lost her battle. Her children will never hear her voice, feel her hug, or see her smile again. It's not fair. Cancer sucks! It shows no mercy and doesn't discriminate; it picks on everyone. Everyone deserves a lifetime. A quality lifetime. I am committed to do everything I can to make that happen.
Please support me as I commit to an incredible challenge. The Susan G. Komen 3-Day is a 60-mile walk over the course of three days. It will be hard, but it’s not as hard as breast cancer. It’s not as hard as chemo. It’s not as hard as getting bad news at your latest scan. It’s not as hard as saying goodbye. And that’s why I know I have to do this. That’s why I commit. That’s why I’m walking and why I’m raising money – to end breast cancer forever.
