Please support me as I embark on this journey in 2024. The DFW walk in October was full of many emotions as I walked along supporters who like me have never had cancer, survivors, those currently going thru treatments and family members of those who are no longer able to walk. We walk because we must.
When you lose a 56 year old friend who had been your friend for 51 years, it hits hard. Sharon was a multi-year participant in the SGK3Day supporting others before she received her diagnosis. My grandmother passed from breast cancer in 1976. I do this in Sharon's memory and my grandmother's to raise funds to find a cure/better treatment so others do not have to endure what Sharon and my grandmother did. Please support me as I commit to an incredible challenge. The Susan G. Komen 3-Day is a 60-mile walk over the course of three days. It will be hard, but it’s not as hard as breast cancer. It’s not as hard as chemo. It’s not as hard as getting bad news at your latest scan. It’s not as hard as saying goodbye. And that’s why I know I have to do this. That’s why I commit. That’s why I’m walking and why I’m raising money – to end breast cancer forever.
No amount is too small and any amount will make a big difference.
Love and hugs to you all!
