Hi! I'm Evie! I'm a member of the Youth Corps on the New England 3-Day.

There are two main reasons I am doing this:

1. For Mama, a survivor of breast cancer, and

2. For Grandmom Mary, who died of breast cancer.

I have "participated" in the 3-Day twice in Philadelphia in 2018 and 2019. I got to cheer on the walkers and help the Youth Corps. I participated for Grandmom Mary. Grandmom Mary had Stage IV breast cancer and died when Stephmom was only 2.

Now, in 2023, I have another reason, and that's for my mom. Mama was diagnosed with Stage I breast cancer last year.  She had a lot of surgeries. At first it was kind of scary. I thought it was going to be like Grandmom Mary's breast cancer. I'm proud of her for being so strong. She is healing and sort of back to her usual self, but I know it won't be the same as it was.
