This past December marked 15 years since my mom ended her fight with Breast Cancer. It's so hard to believe she's been gone that long. It feels like a lifetime ago and yesterday all at the same time.
Since her death, I've lived so much life and missed her being here for so many things. I don't want anyone else's family to feel that feeling. I have close friends who have been diagnosed in the past 3 years and are still fighting their cancer today. We can put a pretty pink bow on it, but the fact remains that it is a killer.
I do these walks in memory of my mom and in honor of too many friends.
This year, our team has taken on another element since one of our team members was diagnosed with breast cancer last year. This is even more personal now than it ever was.
We are having our giant fundraiser yard sale where we hope to make a large portion of our needed $2000 fundraising. But I'd still love your support. Maybe you knew my mom, maybe you just care about me, or maybe you know someone close to you fighting this disease. Whatever your reason, I appreciate your donation and love.
I'm in it to end it...will you join me?
