In both 2014 & 2016 I walked 39.3 miles over 2 days alongside my sister Lauren, cousin Brenda, and cousin Alison (a warrior & breast cancer survivor). We walked as "Cousins 4 a Cure." I truly never felt so humbled in my life as the "sea of pink" was simply overwhelming and brought me to tears time and time again throughout both weekends. We met so many people, heard so many stories of strength, triumph and survival but sadly also those of great loss.
It has been 7 years since we last walked together and since then I have made more great memories, grown my family and thankfully survived the devastation of a global pandemic. But something else happened, my teammate and cousin Brenda also became a warrior and breast cancer survivor.
It is with great honor and pride that I can say Cousins 4 a Cure is back once again to kick some serious cancer butt! We are now literally TWICE as Strong!! This time we will conquer 60 miles over 3 days walking the streets of Boston honoring survivors, those currently undergoing treatment and those sadly no longer with us.
Please support me as I commit to this incredible challenge. The Susan G. Komen 3-Day is a 60-mile walk will be hard, but it’s not as hard as breast cancer. It’s not as hard as chemo. It’s not as hard as getting bad news at your latest scan. It’s not as hard as saying goodbye. And that’s why I know I have to do this. That’s why I commit. That’s why I’m walking and why I’m raising money – to end breast cancer forever.
I will walk for you, your family members, your friends - No one fights alone! If you have someone you'd like me to walk for please let me know as it would be my honor to have you or them sign my shirt! Thank you in advance for donating to a cause that is very dear to my heart.
