Please support me as I commit to an incredible challenge. The Susan G. Komen 3-Day is a 20- 40- or 60-mile walk over the course of three days. It will be hard, but it’s not as hard as breast cancer. It’s not as hard as chemo. It’s not as hard as getting bad news at your latest scan. It’s not as hard as saying goodbye. And that’s why I know I have to do this. That’s why I commit. That’s why I’m walking and why I’m raising money – to end breast cancer forever.
In January 2020 I was diagnosed with Stage 1B Grade 3 Triple Negative Invasive Ductal Carcinoma Breast Cancer. Triple Negative Breast Cancer is a very aggressive form of BC. I had no idea there were different types of breast cancer. I have been blessed that the treatments that I underwent were successful, but there is always a very good chance that it can come back again. Ever since then I feel that I have the responsibility to help bring awareness to this (and all breast cancers) and encourage women to make their health a priority!
PLEASE check your breasts once a month and make sure that you get your mammogram done EVERY YEAR! That is how mine was discovered and fortunately it was found very early. Thank you for all the love, support and prayers. I am forever grateful!
