Please support me as I prepare to participate in my 6th Susan G. Komen 3-Day®. This isn’t just a 60-mile walk over the course of three days—it’s an incredible journey and a fight to end breast cancer!
My first experience was in 2017, crewing for the event in San Diego. Then in 2018, I took on a different challenge and walked with Dawn—60 miles in 3 days in Philadelphia! In 2019, I got to ride my bike all weekend with the safety crew in Dallas. We were back in San Diego in 2021, where I walked the 60 miles with Dawn and the rest of the "Keeping Abreast" team. Last year in Boston I rode with the safety crew, and this year, I'm ready to walk again—in Dallas/Fort Worth.
This cause is very close to us, as Dawn (who is walking for her 7th year) was diagnosed last year, 10 days before the walk in Boston. Thankfully, it was caught early and was non-aggressive, and she is doing great! In addition, her mom is a 30-year breast cancer survivor, and her sister, Rae, lost her 2-year battle with breast cancer in 2017. We continue to walk and raise money to find a cure, so that someday no one else will ever be added to this list!
I hope you’ll share this adventure with me by supporting my fundraising efforts. I need to raise a minimum of $2,300 for this important cause, and even the smallest donation can make a big difference, so any support you can give will be greatly appreciated. If you would like to make a donation, just choose Donate Now and follow the simple instructions.
I am participating in honor of all survivors, in support of all those currently fighting, in memory of those who have lost their battle, and with high hopes that someday this devastating disease will not exist.
Find strength. Find purpose. Find hope. Find a cure. Together we will change the world!
Thank you in advance for your generosity!
Sincerely,
Brett
