Please support me as I commit to an incredible challenge and participate in my 12th Susan G. Komen 3-Day. Over the course of three days, I will walk 60 miles. I started this journey 10 years ago in memory of my grandmother and my best friend who had just passed away from cancer. While neither passed from breast cancer, I felt like it was in the plan for me to advocate for women’s health. I was invited by my friend and Sistah, Jennifer, to join Faith Girlz. I never imagined the emotional journey that walking 60 miles would present. It is truly therapeutic and fulfilling. The people that I have met along the way, (My Pink Family) are THE ABSOLUTE BEST!! I cannot begin to tell you about all the stories shared, the tears, the hugs, the sweat, the pain & blisters, the strong will, the determination, the sense of accomplishment and the feeling of the weight that is lifted when crossing that finish line. I am so humbled by my family, friends and coworkers who continue to support me. Whether it’s donating to this worthy cause, pushing me on training walks, calling or sending me texts of encouragement, meeting me at the finish line, I love you guys!
