I have been raising funds for breast cancer research since 2008. I haven't walked in a few years, but I've decided it's time to hit the pavement again. My mom was a two-time breast cancer warrior and survivor. Sitting with her during all her chemo treatments is eye-opening.
I've lost two very dear friends to this horrible disease. Michele, pictured at the finish line, was a ten year survivor and then this horrible disease metastasized to her liver. We lost her three years ago.
The Susan G. Komen 3-Day is a 60-mile walk over the course of three days. It will be hard, but it’s not as hard as breast cancer. It’s not as hard as chemo. It’s not as hard as getting bad news at your latest scan. It’s not as hard as saying goodbye.
Won't you please support me as I commit to this incredible challenge? I'm walking and raising money - to end breast cancer (and prayerfully all cancers) forever.
