I believe that part of the reason for the speed and "ease" of my diagnosis and treatment is due to advances that have come about from funds raised by Susan G Komen 3-Day events. 

The walk this year falls on my mother's birthday. She would have been 78, but she lost her extremely hard-fought battle with metastatic breast cancer almost 9 years ago. 

My team, The Walkers for Knockers, has walked every year for almost 20 years. There are 4 survivors on our team. it is our goal to end breast cancer.
