I lost my Mom to cancer in 1995. After my brother, sister and I were with her seeing the effects that cancer had on her and the pain she went through, I knew I would one day help raise funds to end this disease. In 2008 I decided to end my procrastination of doing “something someday” and started walking in the 3 Day in Tampa. My Aunt (Ida Enquist -my Moms sister) is a 2 time survivor of Breast Cancer was the main reason that I choose to walk in HONOR of her and IN MEMORY of my MM.
I have walked every year and several years I have participated in 2 cities. As hard d as walking 60 miles odd- It’s not as hard as chemo. It’s not as hard as getting bad news at your latest scan. It’s not as hard as saying goodbye. And that’s why I know I have to do this. That’s why I commit. That’s why I’m walking and why I’m raising money – to end breast cancer forever.
Thank you to all of my amazing supporters and donors!!!
