I’m committing to the 2024 challenge again! This will be my 4th Komen 60 mile walk for breast cancer! I will proudly join my team “Hands Up For Hooters”. My sisters Patty Gacutan & Judy Kjelstrom and niece Vicky Schmuhl are also on the team. Why do I walk?

• I had breast cancer myself in 2020 & 2021 and know the fear, anxiety and pain. I was fortunate to have healthcare.  After 2 lumpectomies, 30 rounds of radiation & meds have kept me cancer free so far. 
• My grandmother, sister Judy and many other friends have battled the disease. Many on our team have as well.
• To bring awareness, new treatments, new therapies and ultimately a CURE for breast cancer! Komen is at the forefront.
