Walk & Talk - New York, NY

NEW YORK WALKERS! Veteran walker, Burt Lipshie is hosting a Walk & Talk where you can walk as little as one mile or as much as 18 miles. The route takes us first to the High Line, where, in the early morning, there are no crowds, then to and down the Hudson River, over the Brooklyn Bridge, and into downtown Brooklyn. A stop for pizza at about the 9 mile mark, then back to Penn Station along the River. There are a lot of bathroom opportunities along the route, and plenty of places to get water or a sports drink. Meet inside Penn Station in Manhattan, on the upper level, in front of the TGI Friday's near the 8th Avenue and 33rd Street exit from the station. Burt is pretty easily recognizable: grey beard, 3-Day t-shirt, 3-Day baseball cap, fanny pack festooned with 3-Day buttons, pink sneakers. He's a walking billboard!
