Year 19!

The Komen 3-Day is a 60-mile walk over three days, to benefit breast cancer research and community support. The 2025 3-Day will be my 30th event.

Women's health care (and men get breast cancer, too!) is more important that ever. I am grateful that I get to participate in something so tangible, and I hope you will join me in the fight.

Why We Walk
On any given day:
• 347 people receive a free Komen-funded screening
• 30 people call the Komen Breast Care Helpline
• 24 people receive Komen-funded treatment assistance
• 85 people benefit from Komen-funded diagnostic testing, and
• 14 people learn they have breast cancer through Komen-funded services

The most meaningful thing about this event are the stories.  The stories I hear from real people about how we make a difference.  Like how my mom is still with us today, because research and treatments were made possible. But it is not without struggles, and we still have a lot more work to do.

It’s not as hard as chemo. It’s not as hard as getting bad news at your latest scan. It’s not as hard as saying goodbye. And that’s why I know I have to do this. That’s why I’m walking and why I’m raising money – to end breast cancer forever.
