Howdy, and welcome to the Walkers, Texas Rangers 3-Day Team Page!
So why are we “Walkers, Texas Rangers”? Well, we’re walkers, and mostly we’re from (or in) Texas (although we have had a few join us from other states), plus we thought the name was cute. But most of all it’s because the 3-Day is an awesome event and the walkers (staff and crew) who participate are some of the toughest, bravest people we know. So we walk, and although we don't do karate, we DO want to kick breast cancer, just like Chuck Norris did on TV.
Each of us walk because we have a different, compelling story. If you have the time, click on each of the members and read about why this is important to them. It might surprise you. It might motivate you to donate or to join us yourself. We hope so!
If you’re interested, you can follow our team on our Facebook page at http://www.facebook.com/walkerstexasrangers. (Sorry, you'll have to copy and paste!) That’s where we post all of our fundraisers, events, meetings and training walks. If you’d like to join us, please do! The organizers are currently trying to round up people who would like to come out and cheer the walkers. You can get more info about that on the Facebook page, or you can contact one of our team members for more info.
Thanks for your support, and remember, Chuck Norris has NEVER walked the 3-Day, but WE DO!
Please join us as we come together as a team and with the Susan G. Komen 3-Day® community take a bold stance in the fight to end breast cancer. The Komen 3-Day isn’t just a 60-mile walk over the course of three days–it’s a journey to the end of breast cancer. We won't stop until breast cancer does.
