"Please support me as I commit to an incredible challenge. The Susan G. Komen 3-Day® is a 60-mile walk over the course of three days. It will be hard, but it’s not as hard as breast cancer. It’s not as hard as chemo. It’s not as hard as getting bad news at your latest scan. It’s not as hard as saying goodbye. And that’s why I know I have to do this. That’s why I commit. That’s why I’m walking and why I’m raising money – to end breast cancer forever."
Why I walk: My team is inspired not by my own story, but the story of my mother and grandmother. I walk becuase I've seen the journey from start to finish. I've seen the physical, mental and spiritual toll breast cancer brings. I walk becuase the pain of seeing your loved one go through this is not even a little bit of the pain of the person actually going through it. I walk because I have had to say goodbye as this disease took my grandmother. I walk becuase I have sat with my mom through 7 hours of chemo at a time. I walk because I have seen the body begin to break but I have seen the mind say keep going. I walk because I am inspired every day of the fight against this disease. I walk because I have seen how strong the human body is. I am inspired by every soul strong enough to bear this burden. I walk to tell anyone going through this, you can do it, you are strong, and you are loved. Please help support me in fightng this battle. I fight for my mom. Who do you fight for?
