2019 marks my 10th year as a walker and crew member, and I'm celebrating by committing to a lifetime fundraising amount of $50,000!
Last year I walked all 7 3-Day events, raising $17,500 for breast cancer research. I'm entering the 2019 walk series with a lifetime total of $40K under my belt, and will be walking in Michigan, Boston and San Diego, and serving on the Route Safety crew in Seattle.
Susan G. Komen is the world’s largest breast cancer organization: Since its founding in 1982, Komen has funded more than $920 million in research and provided more than $2 billion in funding to screening, education, treatment and psychosocial support programs serving millions of people in more than 30 countries worldwide.
I'm especially heartened by Komen's increasing attention to metastatic breast cancer research. To date, the organization has invested more than $166 million in over 400 research grants and more than 40 clinical trials focused on metastatic breast cancer.
If you have any questions or want to hear more about what I'm doing, let me know - I love talking about the event and my 22-year relationship with Komen.
Thank you for your support!
