Here I go again!  I will be partaking in my 3rd 3Day 60 mile walk...I can't believe this is my 3rd walk.  This year's walk has more meaning to me not that the previous years didn't.  This year I'm walking for my friend/sister Cathy Lewis Mobley.  She passed away from this dreaded disease January 11, 2012.  She was an inspiration to me.  Although we didn't talk everyday there wasn't a day that went by that I didn't think about her.  Prior to her death, I couldn't bring myself to go and see her something was holding me back but I didn't know what it was but God knew. 

I wasn't ready to face the task that God had given me and that was to be a voice and spread the word about breast cancer to whoever would listen.  I?ve been put into several situations where I?ve had to talk about breast cancer.  I was so scared until after my Christmas visit with Cathy.  We talked and laughed and just enjoyed each other.  Little did I know that when I kissed her goodbye it would be for good.  Cathy?s death made me ready to take on the task that God had already given me.  I am more vigilant than ever to make sure all of the women in my life know the importance of getting a mammogram.  As a woman, your friends and family deserve for you to fight for your life.  Cathy may not have been able to see her daughter get her college degree but she held on until she was able to see her daughter.  She fought the good fight and my life is better for knowing her! 

Cathy was unable to walk so EVERY step that I take during my training and the 60 miles will be dedicated to her.  Love you and continue to watch over Nate, Shelly, and Nate Jr.
