Join me in the fight against breast cancer.
It is yet another year and I am again walking in the Susan G. Komen 3 Day.
This year I choose to take the show on the road and walk in San Diego. Many of my team mates are walking the 3rd weekend in August in the Twin Cities 3 Day. I will get out as much as I can to cheer them on as I hope that you may also. Even if it is a drive by honk and wave all of the support is so very appreciated.
I again need to raise the minimum amount to walk of $2,300. I am well on my way, but I still need about $1,600 more. You have all been very supportive over the past 5 years and I hope you will be able to support me one more time.
I started walking 6 years ago as a co-worker was fighting breast cancer. That first year I hoped to walk in her honor, but the cancer was so very aggressive that I walked in her honor. I have have lost an Aunt, a neighbor, and many friends that I have met during my involvement in this cause that have lost their fight.
I have an Aunt that is a 30 year plus survivor! She is a very strong woman and was a fighter. Her daughter told me that after she finished her Doctorate degree that she would walk in the 3 Day. Well, she kept her word. My cousin Debbie contacted me back in February and asked if she and her best friend could join my team. Of course I was ecstatic! I said Team Louie San Diego (only me) would l happy to have them on the team. I have saved up over the past year to cover expenses for travel and lodging but I still need to finish my fund raising.
If you can please help and give what you can to help find a cure to end breast cancer! I feel very strongly that the effort to find a cure for one cancer will lead to ending all cancer. The advances in treatment and early detection have extended lives that in our lifetime would have been lost.
Thank you, so very much!
With best regards
