While the 2020 walks had to take a pause, breast cancer doesn't stop for COVID. This would have been my 14th year, and 26th and 27th walks.
One in eight women will face a breast cancer battle in her lifetime, and one in every 100 cases of breast cancer is a man. I refuse to let those men and women down. On the walks, I not only form instant friendships forged through sweat and tears, but I also get to see how the work we do makes a difference for real people. Every story I hear makes me more determined. This is an incredible, bittersweet journey.
While I won't be hitting those sidewalks and trails until 2021, we still have work to do today. Thank you so much for being a part of it.
