The Uptown Car Show was a success. 410 cars, 5,000 spectators. The final $$$ amount is not in, we will continue to raise money over the next few months for photos, etc. Thank you everyone who showed your car, and our sponsors, without both this would not have been possible. And our volunteers, even 3 dayers came out to support! Thank you all!!!

Celebrating my 30th birthday (well, 30 and holding). My son's 31, so it's getting harder and harder to hold at 30. Please contribute to Susan G Komen and the 3 Day Walk for Breast Cancer in honor of my birthday and all the other "bull headed" people like me. Thank you!

Less than 3 weeks until the car shows. Sign ups are increasing. Have 6500 flyers out and about, another 4500 to put out in the next two weeks. I'm a busy girl. Several new sponsors for the car show including XXX Drive-in Issaquah. http://www.UptownCarShow.com, uptowncarshow@live.com

Well, walking came to a halt when I injured by tendon in my arch. Went to see Dr. on Tues, will start walking again on Saturday (maybe today). Had been walking at least 24 miles a week. Minor set back. Had much support from other 3 dayers (especially Sarah!). Car show plans are going well. Still trying to get a few cash sponsors to pay for flyers and porta potties. Many cars, trucks, bikes have signed up. Billboard advertising started. Saw it for the first time yesterday. Way cool. Lots of discussion from the BMW PNW board for the car show. Appreciate their support. Heard Bonnie Hunt mention Susan G Komen today. Appreciate that. Follow me on Twitter too, http://www.twitter.com/dbrinz.
Oh, T Shirts are printing as we speak.

Had a good training week: 3 miles on Tuesday, 6 on Thursday, 4 Saturday, and 4 with a great friend Kay (thanks Kay!!!) by Chambers Creek (beautiful place to walk). Instead of finishing with coffee, we went to the Y and worked out. Getting details done for the car show. We have a pressing concern about the location, not sure there is enough room to park all the cars. Got the menu together and the website: http://www.FoxIslandCarShow.com . Hope all can attend. WALK ON!!! It's Monday, the calendar says I get to rest. Yes, rest is a good thing. Glad I'm not in all the east coast snow.

The car show is taking shape. I have someone that will make delicious BBQ (and some healthy options too). The S2000 club is coming with a group of cars. People on Fox Island are getting excited about showing their cars. The official email address for the show is FICarShow@live.com. Signup forms are available, email for more information. Look to see me at more car shows in the South Sound.

I want to thank my friend Laura for getting up early on a Saturday morning to walk the Cushman Trail with me. Thank you Laura. I walked my first "long" walk on Sunday - 9 miles on Fox Island. I'm not ready for 60 miles yet, but getting closer!
