Please Support me in the Susan G. Komen 3 Day Walk
As friends and family know, I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer in May of 2008. I consider myself lucky to have been diagnosed early and to have access to good medical care. Not everyone is as lucky as I am. 1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with Breast Cancer in their lifetime. I have 2 daughters, a sister and 3 nieces. I want to be the only one in my family to ever hear those words...you have cancer.
The Breast Cancer 3-Day is a 60-mile walk over the course of three days. Net proceeds benefit Susan G. Komen for the Cure and National Philanthropic Trust, funding important breast cancer research, education, screening, and treatment. Each participant must raise 2300.00. As a survivor, I feel it is my responsibility and honor to raise as much money as I possibly can so that Breast Cancer can be eliminated. I very much appreciate your support and donations.
I have been chronicling my own journey with breast cancer at http://tracy-breastcancerandme.blogspot.com/
Take a look through to see what it is like to be in this fight and help me to make sure no one else has to go through what I have gone through.
Last year, many people walked in honor of me. This year, I will walk in honor of the many I know who keep fighting:
