The Breast Cancer 3-Day
|
Please support my efforts!
It was put on my heart this year to walk in the 3-day, and I am excited to take this amazing journey in the fight against breast cancer! The Breast Cancer 3-Day is a 60-mile walk over the course of three days. Net proceeds benefit Susan G. Komen for the Cure and National Philanthropic Trust, funding important breast cancer research, education, screening, and treatment.
I am walking for my young daughters, Cierra and Joslyn, and future generations so that there may be a cure for breast cancer before they grow up. My cousin Lisa is currently fighting breast cancer. Though we don't live near each other - she is on the east coast, and I am on the west - and I haven't seen the pain she has gone through, I know it has been a hard road. I have also been blessed to have met a friend and breast cancer survivor, Sally Thoun, who has become an inspiration to me in my walk. She says that "because of people like me, and our fundraising efforts, her breast cancer was detected early on." I walk for all the women in my life. It is inevitable that every woman will be affected at some point in her life, whether it is a friend, a family member, or herself. I pray that I, being just one very tiny piece of the very large puzzle, can make a difference, and inspire other women to do the same.
I am encouraged and very hopeful in this endeavor. I have never walked this far in such a short time period, though I do love to walk! I look forward to meeting amazing people, and doing my part for research. Thank you in advance for all of your support for my walk, and for my fundraising efforts!

WOW! Thank you ALL for your support with my pampered chef fundraiser. We raised over $250 for breast cancer research! AWESOME!!!
A special thank you to my friend Shawna Macaluso who co-hosted the party with me. She did an amazing job decorating everything pink! Without her, this fundraiser would have not been possible!
Also thank you to Katrina, our PC representative for all she did to make the party a success.

I am excited about my upcoming Pampered Chef fundraiser party on May 30! Pampered Chef is all about "whipping cancer" this month! Well, I had a great turn out at the mom's mall with my booth! I made over $300 total, which means I will be donating $154 to my fundraiser in the name of all the awesome ladies (and men) who bought from me at the mall! Although I don't have everyone's name to mention... yet I thank you all from the bottom of my heart! I am excited about my future fundraising, and you have all given me hope! Thank you Thank you Thank you!!!

Today (May 2) is the second annual Stallion Springs Mom's Mall (which is in my community). I am setting up a booth this afternoon as part of my fundraising efforts. I will be selling homemade salsa, chai tea, cinnamon rolls, Heavenly Essence candles, my "little picket fences" inspirational cards and more! I am excited for this event, and 50% off all proceeds will go toward my goal for the 3-day walk. Wish me luck!
